I have been working for the past months selling Mp3 players. Throughout these few months, I realised that the customers are confused over iPod and mp3.As a promotor, I have to explain them over and over again that it's just a brand name but some still don't get it.

The following scenario are real life cases which I have experienced it personally

Scene 1
A typical scenario would be customers walk into the store and started talking loudly and asking direction for iPods. " show me iPod! Show me. So these are iPods? Oh it's so expensive. Got cheaper ones?" -_-" diaoz....

Scene 2
" Show me iPods! iPods from apple. You KNOW... the one from apple?" *show the display set* "u sure this is from apple? iPods from apple. The computer co., u sure huh?" >_< (ya! of course lah, there's an apple icon on the back lor)

Scene 3
"show me iPods!" do you have Sony iPods?" @_@" nothing to say

Scene 4
Customer:"iPods... Hmmm... so these are iPods. what's the max? show me!"
*show the display set*
Customer:" I want the video one. Can I watch tv from it?60gb no good. Got 100GB"
Reply: " weee... don't have it here. Highest is 60GB. No u can't watch TV." (Hmmm...not that I know of, only iRiver does if i didn't remember wrongly)
Customer:"why cannot?" (sounded very angry) It should, you know! it says mp4 what!"
Reply: "Errr... mp4 is only video clips"
Customer:"WHAT! btw, what's the differences between mp4 and 3" DIAO*********

Classic joke
Cusotmer: " Do you have 60GB iPod video?"
Reply :"yes"
Customer:"show me the box." *looking very hard at it*
"So, you are giving free monitor?"
Reply (stunned): Monitor?!!!
Cutomer:" oh! ya.. *blushing* Oh I know. It comes with a screen. "
Reply: ......
I think that the cutomers meant to say it with the LCD. My colleagues and I make a joke out of it. If ipod comes with a free monitor, then the 12inch tv is a projector. Wow, so that makes a 32 inch plasma tv to be a cinema screen! Isn't that customer cute?
