Melanie, Zeng Qi, Jamie and I headed straight to Mega Bites after BCCG class this afternoon. During the lunch break, Melanie and I started to talk about our work regarding our sales target and figures.
Suddenly, she blurted out," Hey girl, u know something? God is so nice!!!" At that point of time, I was taken aback by her powerful statement. Mind you, Melanie seldom shares her testimonials with me or our Christian classmates. Her parents are very against the idea of she attending church for they are not yet saved.
It happened on Monday that her sales were so bad and just managed to sell 4 mp3 players. Feel down, she prayed to God asking Him to give her chances to promote her products to the customers and they will appreciate her hard work. The next day, Melanie sold 11 sets of mp3 players! PTL! I felt so happy for her, not only that she has sold 11 set but also her faith towards God has grown to another level!
Notice that in her prayer, she did not ask God to bless her with more sales or the numbers of sets that she wants to sell. Instead, she asked God to bless her with opportunities to share her products with the customers and in return they will appreciate her hard work. *Appreciation means that one has no obligation to purchase the products and could have simply rejected her by saying thank you for the information.*
Personally, as a friend, I feel that it's a break through for Melanie as she prayed in faith and fervently believed that God will guide her along.
Mel, I really wish that you will attend church services and cell group. Most importantly, find a church where you can get rooted and grow. I know that in the past you faced disappointment in your old church. Remember this; man will always disappoint man but not God. Let go of the past and look upon our heavenly gorgeous Papa ya. For He's faithful and never disappoint us! I'm really happy that you have found a Christian boy friend and pray that both of you will grow spiritually together and glorifies our Lord. Bear this in mind, Christian life is never a bed of roses. It's tough and persecution is prevailing everywhere. I've been through it and I'm still facing it today from my family. Pray for deliverance and I believe that your parents will accept your faith.
I have been working for the past months selling Mp3 players. Throughout these few months, I realised that the customers are confused over iPod and mp3.As a promotor, I have to explain them over and over again that it's just a brand name but some still don't get it.
The following scenario are real life cases which I have experienced it personally
Scene 1
A typical scenario would be customers walk into the store and started talking loudly and asking direction for iPods. " show me iPod! Show me. So these are iPods? Oh it's so expensive. Got cheaper ones?" -_-" diaoz....
Scene 2
" Show me iPods! iPods from apple. You KNOW... the one from apple?" *show the display set* "u sure this is from apple? iPods from apple. The computer co., u sure huh?" >_< (ya! of course lah, there's an apple icon on the back lor)
Scene 3
"show me iPods!" do you have Sony iPods?" @_@" nothing to say
Scene 4
Customer:"iPods... Hmmm... so these are iPods. what's the max? show me!"
*show the display set*
Customer:" I want the video one. Can I watch tv from it?60gb no good. Got 100GB"
Reply: " weee... don't have it here. Highest is 60GB. No u can't watch TV." (Hmmm...not that I know of, only iRiver does if i didn't remember wrongly)
Customer:"why cannot?" (sounded very angry) It should, you know! it says mp4 what!"
Reply: "Errr... mp4 is only video clips"
Customer:"WHAT! btw, what's the differences between mp4 and 3" DIAO*********
Classic joke
Cusotmer: " Do you have 60GB iPod video?"
Reply :"yes"
Customer:"show me the box." *looking very hard at it*
"So, you are giving free monitor?"
Reply (stunned): Monitor?!!!
Cutomer:" oh! ya.. *blushing* Oh I know. It comes with a screen. "
Reply: ......
I think that the cutomers meant to say it with the LCD. My colleagues and I make a joke out of it. If ipod comes with a free monitor, then the 12inch tv is a projector. Wow, so that makes a 32 inch plasma tv to be a cinema screen! Isn't that customer cute?
Last weekend, I took up a sales assignment selling Samsung Mp3 at Mustafa.
On Sunday, I left my house without bring my ATM card; hence I'm unable to withdraw cash. I was so worried that I do not have enough money to buy dinner. Thank God, there's $4.70 left in my wallet!
During the service, I was thinking whether I should give to the Lord as I left with little money which is sufficient for my dinner. At that point of time, I remembered what my friend told me before. God does not care about the amount you give Him, for He has everything He wants. What God wants is your sacrifices and faith. I took a great leap of faith and gave half of my remaining. After the donation, Gina one of my cell group sister bless me with a pack of M&M chocolate and told me that I could eat it when I feel hungry. I was so touched by her kindness. Gina, thank you for your blessing and kindness! Btw, the chocolate is my dinner.Hee hee...
After service, I told XH about it and assure me that God will bless me. He's kinda of worry that I do not have money for dinner and offered to buy dinner for me (Thanks darling, sweet! Really appreciate it deep inside my heart! Hugzzzzz).
Earlier,I kinda of anticipated that Sunday sales will not be as good as Saturday cause parents will stay at home with their kids to get prepare for school ,work and etc.God really bless me that very day! Sales were better than Saturday and I manage to sell the very last set of J70-30GB HDD MP3/4 player (It's been on the shelves for the last 2 months) Hee.. the commission for that set is $10!
