title:{Blissily busy}

For the past week, Iain and I were busy with marking exam scripts, preparing for our ROM, meeting parents. I'm glad that we fully utilised our one week break to get things done.

Iain suggested that I should record the dates and things that we have accomplished. It's kinda of tough as we are so busy with work and preparation. I shall try my best to recall the important dates.

Some where in mid-late July.

Iain invited me to join Huiping, Jumari, King Yang and him for dinner after school. At the point of time, we were neutral towards to each other. Our relationship is just purely colleauges and nothing much. It was such an coincidence, we happend to bump into Liana that day as Iain and I went to his car to take his phone. Briefly intro Na to Iain.

1 August 2008

Iain invited me to join Kumar, Kamaliah for movie. We went to watch Mummy 3 at "The Cathay". Hang out with Iain after the movie till 4am, chatting at a cafe off Selegie Road. It was a light hearted moment chatting with him and our friendship has move to another level up.

8 August 2008
Su Xuan, Lava, Kumar, Iain and I headed down to "The Arena" to club. Kumar never fails to tease Iain and I, trying hard to match us up. At the point of time, I can sense that Iain is somehow a little interested in me, nevertheless, I brushed it off. Iain invited to me meet his dog, Ginger at Sentosa.

9 August 2008
Meet up with Iain and Ginger at Sentosa and had a great time playing them in the late afternoon. Iain suggested to have a marking session since it was a long weekend and we both work well at night. After dinner, meet up with Iain to do marking at Mac till 5a.m. *if I didn't remember wrongly*

10 August 2008
We meet up again to do marking at airport. This time round, we ended early and finished marking till 2a.m.

12 August 2008
Iain suggested to have chilled out session after I broke clean with XH. We headed to Holland Village for Coffee club. We started to have heartfelt chat and he express his feelings to me! I was stubbed at that moment, not knowing how to react. The warmth of Iain's grip just melted my heart. We drove back home and I started to 'interrogate' him and confessed that I'm kinda of interested in him and think that it's possible to progress further.

14 August 2008
I invited Iain to drop by my house to visit my cats and my mum. Mummy likes him at first sight and started to question me about us. Dad was excited but kinda of worried as he just saw him through a glance from his car.

16 August 2008
Iain invited me back to his house to meet his family. His mum and dad are such a darling! Nice and sweet folks. His sisters are so nice to me especially his eldest sis. We went to Dempsey Road for a chilled out and had wine at 'Wine Network'.

17 August 2008 around 2.30a.m
We drove to Mt. Faber and Iain propose to me in his car! Without hesitation, I agreed! It's kinda of crazy but there's a strong feeling which I can't beat off-We are meant to be and we foreseen that this marriage is gonna to work out. I can vividly remember his proposal line: Sandra, I know that you're the one for me and I really want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me? FYI, he didn't prepared flowers nor proposal ring but he got something which is the most important-sincerity.

Late afternoon......
We went to Bishan to shop for wedding bands at Citi gems. We had a big issue upon buying the rings but managed to resolve it. I was surprised by my own reaction as I would have called off the whole engagement and walked off in the past. I guess that Iain has changed me in certain ways especially on reasoning rationale and being more understanding.

23 August 2008 collection of rings
This was the day that Iain collected the ring and we were supposed to go out. We were so beat after a long day of CCA and marking. and headed home to rest. I've tried calling him for hours but didn't manage to get through. Feeling tired, I went to back to sleep. In the midst of my beauty sleep, the door bell rang and I saw Iain holding a bouquet of blue roses. I was shocked and hoping that he's not going to put on the ring for me now as I was in my pyjamas. Well, he did!! My hair was all over me and my mouth stink with just out of bed breathe! How glamorous and how could I ever forget! Ha ha......

24 August 2008 pouring of blessing
Visitation to grandma and grandpa. Both were happy with Iain and Mama was smiling non stop upon seeing Iain. I know that she likes him when I saw the looks on her face. Thank God that she did not ask me dumped Iain like the last relationship. Phew...... Thank God that dear dear manage to pass Mama's test. Iain and I bought Yi Quan, mum and bro to 'Earth Cafe' with Ginger for dinner. Mummy saw the wedding band on our hand and gave me a cheeky look.

Mummy cracked a joke and said "So, what kind of stone of that? Crystal or gems?" Felt offended, I retorted "What?! It's diamond, ok! Iain bought it with his hard earn money." Mummy smiled cheeky and ask why I wore the ring on my left hand fourth finger. Iain and I smiled sheepishly. we gazed at each other and decided to tell my mum that we were engaged. Mum was happy and couldn't help smiling. Iain promised mummy that he will take good care of me and want to make me happy. Mummy looked at me ask "Girl, you ok?" I nodded my head.

"Since you're ok, I'm ok. As long as you're happy." Mummy smiled. Finally, we got blessing from my mum. Called up dad to announce this news to him as he was in overseas. He render speechless and was happy for us.

Went back to Iain's house and told his parents about our engagement. They were very happy and shocked. I will never forget what his mum said to me. "So fast! As long as both of you love each other wholeheartedly, I'm happy. Most importantly, don't bother about what other said as long as both of you are true to each other. " I almost cried out when I heard this. I'm wonderfully blessed to have such a liberal and understanding mother in law.

29 August 2008-Announcement day
This is our very year to celebrate Teachers' Day together. Iain and I have been caution not wanting to let others know about our relationship. After the Teachers' Day dinner, we headed down to 'The Arena' with Kelly, Churu, King Yang, Kumar, Su Xuan, Ivory and Jumari. Churu and Kelly kinda of suspected that Iain was interested in me and started to question Ivory whether I had a boyfriend. Knowing that we were dating together and not wanting too many people to know about it. Ivory gave a political right answer, 'Yes". Iain and I headed to the dance floor and were dancing intimately. Just at the moment, I finished kissing Iain, my eyes caught King Yang. He was totally disgusted, whispered to Kelly and walk out off. Kumar and Su Xuan shook their head as a sign, it's too late with the typical look -You got to tell them the truth! Left with no alternatively, we announced to the gang that we were engaged and there was a moment of silence. Everyone was shocked! We loved to see that expressions! Anyway, they were happy for us!

31 August 2008
Parents meeting day! Both our parents meet up for breakfast. Mind you, Iain's mum and my mum are like long lost friends! I guessed that they have common topics to chat since they used to live in the same area and my grandma used to patronise Iain's grandpa TMC. Iain and I were glad that everything went smoothly.

2 September 2008
Check out the ROM-Mandai Orchid Garden. Our very first bible study with Victor.

3 Septemeber 2008
Bought my ROM gown at Marina Square and meet up with Zhiyi at AMK hub.

5 September 2008
Mrs Ho caught hold of me and asked how was things between Iain and me. She long noticed that Iain was interested in me and constanly encouraged me to hold on dear to him. In fact, she was the first person who noticed it in the office. Mrs Ho told me that she has been praying for us, hoping that we will be together. During lunch time, we decided to come clean with Mrs Ho and told her that we were engaged. She was so happy and praised the Lord for answering 3/4 of her prayer. We managed to found out that remaining 1/4 of her prayer was for us to get married and have children and live happily. We told her that we wanted her husband to solemnised our civil wedding on 4th July 2009. Mrs Ho was happy and so trilled! We are glad that we have blessing from Mrs Ho as she's a pastor's wife. Nothing beats blessing from spiritual elders in church.
